Community Services

Every Rotary club, large or small, is engaged in this avenue - Community Service--the heartbeat of Rotary.  Club members see a need in their community and they act, often in cooperation with local governments and agencies.  For example, they sponsor activities such as traffic safety, cultural development, community beautification, fire prevention, home safety, and assistance to the sick, the handicapped, the young, and the aged.  All Community Service projects are tailored to fit local conditions.

Typical Community Service committees:

  • Environment
  • Handicapped
  • Rural-Urban relations
  • Safety
  • Senior Citizens
  • Youth
  • Interact
  • Rotaract
  • Others, as needed
